Ashes to Ashes

Shaoib rocks Englnd

Doesn’t the summer feel like oh so long ago? Following the highs of August and September the intrepid Ashes victors headed to Pakistan and now find themselves one match down with just one to play. The pitches have not been to England’s liking, the ball is not swinging or seaming (or even spinning much) and the batting has been less than inspiring. Other than that it’s been another good series. England conspired to grab defeat from the jaws of victory in Multan, then in Faisalabad England survived on the last day to hold on for a draw. This morning, on the first day of the final test, England slumped from 101-0 to lose 6 wickets and end the day struggling again. Sky’s coverage seems to be something we’ll have to get used to, as there seems to be no way out of the trap laid by broadcasting rights; so no terrestrial coverage for at least three years. Still, Bumble is great fun to listen to, and there’s always TMS if you don’t have a dish.
